Welcome

A warm southern welcome to you on behalf of the Mississippi State Society Daughters of the American Revolution (MSSDAR).

In 1891, the founding Daughters of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) envisioned an organization of women descended from patriots who fought or supported the American Revolution and who were dedicated to preserving our nation’s history, furthering education, and promoting patriotism.

In 1896, MSSDAR joined as the 35th State Society of the NSDAR.
Since that time, the over 3700 Mississippi Daughters have continued to honor the service and sacrifices of their ancestors by striving to serve our communities, our state and our country. MSSDAR offers abundant opportunities to serve all while developing lasting friendships and enjoying much fellowship.

We very much appreciate your interest in MSSDAR and the work that we do. We encourage you to look around our website and that of the National Society at dar.org. If you would like information regarding membership in MSSDAR, please use our Contact Us Page and for information regarding chapters in your area use the Local Chapter tab.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you will join us as we answer our patriotic call to service. Again, thank you for visiting us!

Sincerely,

Hellen Hicks Polk
MSSDAR State Regent
